Liz Sutton

Having lived in a number of Australian capital cities and overseas, and working in them, Liz is acutely aware of the way government structures influence service delivery. She has delivered a number of change management initiatives at the state and national level. These have included legislation change relating to tobacco control to improve public health outcomes. Other areas she has effected change in are the organ and tissue donation sector - where her work and that of her team members led to the establishment of Donate Life; and recently as the National Lead for a program aiming to improve patient agency when patients have lost the ability to communicate - namely the management of Advance Care Planning Australia.

Liz completed a PhD in 2019 examining patient agency in the context of pain relief requests made by women in labour and how these were responded to by health care staff. She has completed numerous consulting projects on public health policy, communications issues faced by organisations, information management restructuring and technical medical issues. She is currently engaged as a Research Fellow at Monash University examining public attitudes to genomics technology. Liz is available to assist your business with service delivery and management challenges and can assist with technical expertise in health care service delivery.
